Today we took part in Sports Day.  First we had fun taking part in a carousel of activities which included scoring goals, the beanbag throw, an obstacle course, a javelin throw and the long jump.  Then we took part in class running races.  At each activity we earned points for our house.  The Birch house won overall. Well done to all the Owlets for their fantastic team spirit and sportsmanship.

As part of our R.E topic, Special Places we learnt that some Hindu families have shrines in their homes.  We learnt about the importance of each object on the shrine and created our own Hindu shrine for our classroom.  Whislt we created our shrine we lsitened to some beautiful and calming music.

As part of our R.E this half term we have been thinking about 'Special Places.'  We has a circle time and shared our 'Special Places' and why they were important.  Then we worked together, listening and taking turns to create our own 'Specila Place' in the classroom.

This week we have been learning about instructions.  Today we followed some instructions to make Magic Wand Fruit Kebabs.

We enjoyed listening to the story Who Sank the Boat?

We used our knoweldge of weight to help estiamte how many marbles the boat would hold before it sank.

We then had lots of fun exploring the marbles and boats ourselves.
