On Friday, we spent a very wet and soggy day at Hunstanton. We went to the beach and watched longshore drift in action, then looked at the sea defences. We explored how the groynes stopped the beach from moving, the sea walll stopped the wave energy and why the flood gates were important along the beach. We then examined the cliffs to see how they were being eroded and the impact of weather on the different types of geology.

Finally, to escape the rain, we ate our lunch under the shelter and recorded all the tourist attractions and facilities we could see. After lunch and some much needed protection from the rain, we had chips and doughnuts to warm us up before our journey home. The children were fantastic and kept their spirits up, despite the torrential rain all day! A memorable trip for eveyone!
