In Owlets we have been learning that belonging to a religious group is a bit like belonging to a family. If you belong to a religious group you all believe the same or similar things. We began by thinking about our families and how special they are to us all but that they are all different and that is fine. After that we thought about the different ‘families’ that we belong to – our own families, our Titchmarsh Church of England Primary School family and any clubs we are part of. We learnt that all the religious family groups are different and have different beliefs. To show that they are different they have different symbols. We enjoyed making symbols to represent some religions.
